Welcome

American Veterans Aid Fund (AVAF), a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization, was established as part of the American Veterans Aid family of companies to assist veterans and their families in obtaining and maintaining the respect, dignity, and honor earned through their service and sacrifice. AVAF has a relationship with veterans, their families, and veteran organizations based upon mutual regard and shared visions for a better tomorrow as well as common interests and values.

What defines our character as veterans is the bond formed through our military service and that bond follows us into civilian life. It is because of this special connection that we are sensitive to the reality that other veterans may not be as fortunate as ourselves and therefore may need assistance beyond what government funds and programs are available or can provide.

At AVAF, we recognize that this is an unprecedented time in the history of veterans in the United States. A rapidly aging veteran population from World War II and Korea presents unique challenges today, especially in terms of medical and housing (assisted living) needs.

Combat does not end when one leaves the battlefield. From Vietnam to the Iraq, Agent Orange to Depleted Uranium Munitions, our veterans and their families are facing some of the greatest battles of their lives and support is needed now more than ever before.

For that reason, AVAF’s command center is strategically located in the Hudson Valley Region of New York State, near West Point (USMA) and The National Purple Heart Museum.

In cooperation with American Veterans Aid Corp, every effort is made to verify veteran status and/or eligibility and to obtain the federal, state, and local benefits available to veterans and their families.

Where government funds and/or facilities are limited or unavailable, the AVAF will assist veterans and their families.
